Security industry compliance audits

Registered employers in the security industry may be subject to compliance audits by our employer regulation team.

The aim of these audits is to bring employers into compliance with the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018.

Audits will focus on:

  • the accuracy of data reported in quarterly returns
  • underreporting of worker hours and ordinary pay
  • underreporting of covered workers.

Employers may be asked to provide:

  • financial information (for example, payroll and business activity statements)
  • company information (for example, organisational charts)
  • worker information (for example, position descriptions and employment contracts).

We may contact workers to check that the information provided to us is correct.

All employers should make sure their quarterly returns are accurate and up to date. Please contact enquiries@plsa.vic.gov.au to proactively resolve issues.

Employers are encouraged to review their compliance with the Scheme obligations.
